My Journey 🚶

Hi, I’m Kieran, the founder of SEMH Education.

I started my career in teaching, working across mainstream primary settings. I then moved to specialist SEMH provisions.

Over the years, I’ve supported children and young people with complex needs, and I now bring that expertise into my role as Education Officer within the Youth Justice Service.

I know first-hand the challenges schools face when it comes to behaviour, emotional regulation, and inclusion.

My mission is simple: to give schools practical, evidence-informed strategies that help every child feel safe, understood, and capable of thriving.

Alongside my work, I write a weekly newsletter on Substack called ‘SEMH education’, now read by over 700 subscribers, including teachers, leaders, and other educational professionals across the UK.

💡 If you’re looking for real-world SEMH strategies that actually work in classrooms, you’re in the right place.
